Fire Alert and Evacuation Procedure will be explained so that guests understand that a flashing light and vibrating pad will alert them in the first instance, and then a member of staff will be on hand to facilitate evacuation. Guests should be made aware of procedures that may impact upon their privacy. Whilst every endeavour will be made to enable a male member of staff to awaken a male guest and a female member to alert a female guest, it is not always possible to solicit an alternative from the guest. Fire alarm and flashing lights are tested weekly.
